Top 10 shows with masterpiece first seasons

Well sometimes very long series scare us off. Here are some season 1 masterpieces that you just can’t miss.

  • Money Heist

If you haven’t heard of Money heist you must really be living under a rock. Professor a introvert genius plans to print €2.4 billion from the Royal Mint of Spain with few other of his crew. His crew is named after cities to protect there identity. The most pragmatic there was Berlin; a narcissist, artists who is self-absorbed and loves giving poetic rhetorics. Tokyo and Denver, the adrenaline junkies & Nairobi the sensible one and professors favorite. Things go out of sorts shortly after they entered the royal mint.

  • Prison Break

This one is truly special, Michael Scofield a nerdy genius helps his brother escape from prison for killing the Vice-president of US’s brother. I am not making this up. Although spoiler alert he didn’t. The story evolves around Scofield trickery and genius and the tattoos he imprinted on himself in-order to escape the prison. Prison break will make you question reality itself with teeth bitting cliffhangers and nailing biting plots. This one is the whole package.

  • True Detective

It really makes me sad that most people don’t know about this extraordinary show. A serial killer kills his victims in a ritualistic manner which will give you chills all the way to your spine. Two detectives with some serious mid-life crisis work together to solve this unsolvable case. Matthew McConaughey character as the awkward narcissist detective deserves an Oscar.

  • Dexter

Dexter Morgan, L.A crime solving serial killer who is a law abiding policeman in day and a sociopathic killer at night. But there is a twist, he only kills bad guys. His sister on the other hand is a charming, cute and ambitious policemen who plays a critical role in the show and Dexter’s life. Dexter is one those shows that shapes a generation and creates a whole new experience on tv.

  • Gossip Girl

No introduction needed for this classic, unless you were living under the rock for the last decade, I am definitely sure you heard about this Netflix show. Gossip girls revolves around the lives super-ultra-rich kids of New York’s elite. Serena(Blake Lively) comes back from hibernation, a completely changed person meets Dan, a introvert normal dude from Brooklyn. Serena’s best friend Blair hates her for sleeping with her boyfriend Nate. Chuck is one other character you will hate to love.

Gossip Girls navigates the story of the ultra-rich of the world in a beautifully twisted way that makes you look at your life twice. This show has shaped a generation way of thinking and no-amount of words can explain how good Gossip Girl season 1 was.

  • Jack Ryan

This amazon-prime show really is under the radar. Jack a CIA analyst and his partner & boss Jim Greer work together to stop Suleimani(the bad guy) who want to harm America. Well I may have simplified the story too much.

  • Banshee

Homelander(Tony Starr) here called Lucas Hood; an ex-convict who assumes the identity of a small-town sheriff to evade a powerful crime lord and reunite with his former lover. He does unspeakable things to get what he want although he is a good guy but life makes him do morally questionable things and cherry on top this series has some awesome, out of the park bed scenes which will make you even more intrigued.

  • The last of us

This one is a bit biased as only one season of this HBO show came out till now. Adopted from the most famous video game ever made. A zombie apocalypse almost wipes out humanity. Joel a military guy needs to save this girl Ellie who seems to the cure to un-zombify people. So Joel goes everything in his power to save Ellie and reach a place which can replicate her immunity to save humanity.

Last of Us is one of those shows which does everything right; directing, writing, and most important tell lame jokes which will make you cry your balls out.

  • House of Dragon

172 years before GOT takes place. The great Targaryen Dynasty is at the height of its power. An internal succession war broke out between Princess Rhaenyra and her step-brother Aegon II Targaryen. Rhaenyra being the elder sister was the right successor of the Iron Throne but Queen Alicent Hightower doesn’t see it that way. Plotting and planning ways to kill/ruin the princess while the Princess does everything in her power to get the Iron Throne.

In this one dragons fight dragons, blood fights blood. One of the most notorious character is the present kings brother,Princess Daemon Targaryen, a charming self-absorbed protagonist who loves Rhaenyra his niece and also want the throne for himself.

If your a GOT fan then I bet your going to love House the dragons too.

  • The Witcher

This Netflix original is a bit precarious, Henry Cavill plays the lead of Geralt of River, a monster hunter who finds it difficult to find his place in a world where people are more evil than actual monster. His job is to save this princess Siri who has the ability to control life itself but still has not reached her full potential so wicket men are out there to get her. Another crucial role is by this magic sorcerer by the name of Yennefer. Geralt falls in love with this girl who teams up with him time to time to find Ciri.

Witcher is one of those show that you just have to watch. Fixed with action, fire, magic and most important insane writing. Believe me when I say that this show will become your top 10 after you watch the first episode.
